axle-the-game:

Hi Tumblr!
We are currently running a Kickstarter Campaign for our game Axle!
We know that not everyone can support us by donating so we want to reward everyone that helps spread the word!
We are giving away a hand-made Axle Plushie to one of our rebloggers!
We will be announcing the winner on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16th AT 9:00PM, so you have until then to reblog as much as you can!  Also you can follow our blog to stay updated (not strictly required to win, but always appreciated)!
Also, I encourage you to check out our kickstarter page.  For as little as $10, you can pre-order the game with exclusive content!  It also helps the whole community, because if we raise $22k, we will be releasing Axle on multiple platforms (including Android, iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Ouya and Windows Phone 8)!
What We’re Giving Away:
- A hand-made, soft, fluffy, Axle Plushie, big enough to snuggle with. These dudes are sitting in the 5000k reward tier of the Kickstarter right now but so many people have said they want one we want to give everyone a chance!
Rules:
- Reblog this post to enter.- You don’t have to be following us, but why not join the party? :D- Only Reblogs count (these plushies are going to be an endeavor to make!)- There is no limit to the reblogs, but use this great power with digression for the sake of the innocent.- Do not delete our text- Keep your ask box open! We’ll need to contact the winner!- The winner has 48 hours to respond, after that time we’ll pick a new winner- Winner will be chosen by a random number generator.

We were discussing homosexuality because of an allusion to it in the book we were reading, and several boys made comments such as, “That’s disgusting.” We got into the debate and eventually a boy admitted that he was terrified/disgusted when he was once sharing a taxi and the other male passenger made a pass at him. The lightbulb went off. “Oh,” I said. “I get it. See, you are afraid, because for the first time in your life you have found yourself a victim of unwanted sexual advances by someone who has the physical ability to use force against you.” The boy nodded and shuddered visibly.“But,” I continued. “As a woman, you learn to live with that from the time you are fourteen, and it never stops. We live with that fear every day of our lives. Every man walking through the parking garage the same time you are is either just a harmless stranger or a potential rapist. Every time.” The girls in the room nodded, agreeing. The boys seemed genuinely shocked. “So think about that the next time you hit on a girl. Maybe, like you in the taxi, she doesn’t actually want you to.

Homophobia: The fear that another man will treat you like you treat women. Andrew Sullivan.
